Curiosity Supercharges Learning

Countless studies in psychology dispel the silly notion that fun and serious are at opposite ends of a spectrum. In fact, learners are never more receptive than when they are engaged and self-motivated. That is why curiosity is the name of the game; by creating compelling stories and challenging players through exploratory play we motivate learners to engage deeply with the subject we set out to teach.

Learning is Fun

Our team includes decades of experience in museum education, classroom teaching from primary school to college. With an understanding of effective teaching techniques and knowledge across several disciplines, education is never far from our mind. Even when we design for entertainment we cannot help weaving in threads of history, a STEM activity or an art project, because we really do believe that learning is fun.

We Started in Education

Curious XP’s very first project in 2015 was a passion project to teach the story of the Stamp Act Riots of 1765. It was admittedly a niche topic, and every player who participated that day went home with a firm understanding of the event with all the obscure historical figures and political nuance it entailed.
